Please keep in mind that our regional staff are often out of the office, so they may not be able to respond immediately. If you need immediate assistance, you can contact either one of our program directors: Melissa Hippard or Matt Vander Sluis.

Are gifts to Greenbelt Alliance tax-deductible?

Greenbelt Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization and gifts are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our tax I.D. # is 94-1676747. Gifts to our separate Greenbelt Alliance Initiative Fund are not tax-deductible as these funds support advocacy and lobbying efforts.

How do I find a specific publication?

Greenbelt Alliance produces research-driven reports—covering a broad range of issues—to inform our advocacy work. They are available for you to read or download in our publications library. If you are interested in obtaining a hard copy of one of our reports, send us an email at info@greenbelt.org.

I have questions about Greenbelt Alliance and the issues you work on. How can I get answers?

Does Greenbelt Alliance buy land?

Greenbelt Alliance is not a land trust; we do not acquire land. For information on donating land or selling conservation easements, contact your local land trust.

Do you offer support to groups outside the Bay Area?

Greenbelt Alliance focuses on the San Francisco Bay Area. However, many of our policy reports and organizing tools may be useful to groups elsewhere. Check out our publications library to find the latest resources for smart growth and conservation activists.
