Muir Woods – The Trail Ahead
Celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service with a walk under the ancient redwood trees of Muir Woods.
Our guide is legendary park ranger Mia Monroe. Mia will describe a century of Muir Woods stewardship and protection, tell us of plans to manage the park for the next century, and point out signs of fall in the forest. After our saunter through the woods, we’ll have the option of joining Mia at Muir Beach to see monarch butterflies and view recent restoration work at Big Lagoon designed to benefit coho and steelhead salmon.
