Native Trees of the Bay Area

Join Greenbelt Alliance outings and volunteer coordinator Ken Lavin for a talk and slide presentation featuring native trees of the Bay Area greenbelt.  The presentation will feature interesting tidbits and stories about the trees around us, including how they were used by Native Americans and pioneers. Ken’s talk will include stories describing the adventures and misadventures of early botanical expeditions to the Bay Area. We’ll also talk about how the changing landscape and climate might affect the future of our native trees.
