Join Greenbelt Alliance as we walk along the new Shipyard 3 Trail section of the San Francisco Bay Trail.  Our route includes a detour to visit a hillside overlook of historic Kaiser Shipyard 3, part of Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park. This is the only place in the U.S. where an aggregation of WWII ship building facilities remain, e.g. six buildings, five dry dock basins and a whirley crane.  The walk will end at the SS Red Oak Victory where we will enjoy guided tours of the ship plus a continental breakfast of coffee, juice, scones, muffins, croissants, and mushroom turnovers on deck with fine views of San Francisco. We’ll shuttle our cars to the ship so that everyone may depart on their own schedule.
