Who
are the Greenbelt Guardians?
They
are Greenbelt Alliance supporters who pledge a monthly gift to provide
steady support for Greenbelt Alliance's mission: protecting open space
and promoting livable communities in the Bay Area.
How
does the monthly giving program work?
First,
you choose an amount that works for you. Then by filling out the downloadable
form and enclosing and sending a check for the first month, you
authorize your bank to transfer that amount from your checking account
directly to Greenbelt Alliance on a monthly basis. You can also do
this using your credit card, though using your checking account is
more cost-effective.
Is
this a safe way to donate?
Automatic
funds transfer is actually safer than mailing a check. In fact, one
of the largest users of this kind of funds transfer is the U.S. Social
Security Administration.
Will
I get a record of my monthly donations?
Your
monthly checking account or credit card statement will show the date
and amount of your donation. We will also send you a year-end statement with your contribution total.

if I change my mind?
Just

Let us know if you want to change the amount or stop giving, or if
you move, get a new credit card, or change banks.
How
do I sign up?
Just
fill out the pledge
form. If your monthly gift will come from your checking account,
