an information table at the Concord Farmers Market and similar venues
in the East Bay.
About Us
Greenbelt Alliance is the Bay Area's leading land conservation and urban planning
nonprofit. Our mission is to make the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area
a better
place to live by protecting the region's greenbelt and improving the livability
of its cities and towns. Since 1958, we have been active across the nine-county
region protecting open space, opposing sprawl, and promoting smart growth.
We
have helped save over 1.1 million acres of greenbelt and we're a leader in
promoting regional solutions to the problems of sprawl.

the Concord Farmers Market on Tuesdays from 10 am to 2 pm. The volunteer
will inform visitors about Greenbelt Alliance and the Concord Naval

administrative duties involved with table set up. The volunteer will have
the opportunity to attend other such local events in neighboring communities,
including Pittsburg, Antioch, and Brentwood.
Commitment
The minimum commitment is 4 hours per week (10am - 2 pm on Tuesdays at the
Concord Farmers Market) through October. Additional hours depend on tabling
at other events
and sites.
Talents/Skills Desired
The ideal volunteer will be reliable, energetic, and eager to learn about
Greenbelt Alliance and local environmental issues. The volunteer should be willing
to converse with visitors and patiently explain and advocate for these issues.
