Rating: A fairly easy 2-mile round trip walk.

Notes: Join Greenbelt Alliance for a special
day in Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve. We’ll take a guided underground
tour of the facinating Hazel Atlas mine and then walk to the historic Rose
Hill Cemetery.
Rain Policy: Outing continues, rain or shine.
What to bring: Lunch, liquids, good walking shoes and sun protection. Dress in layers. It will be very warm outside, but around 55 degrees underground.

Diamond is located in Contra Costa County, south of Pittsburg and Antioch.
Take Highway 4 to the Somersville Road exit in Antioch, then drive south (toward
the hills) on Somersville Road to the Preserve entrance. We will meet at the
southern most parking lot, where the road ends.
