Notes: Beat the summer heat with a hike along the shady Bear Creek Trail in the EBMUD watershed. Along the way, we’ll enjoy beautiful views of Briones Reservoir and learn some of the natural and human history of the area.
What to bring: Snack, lunch, water, sun protection, good walking shoes
How to get there:
We will meet at the Briones
Overlook Staging Area off Bear Creek Road. From Highway 24 in Orinda, Take
the Orinda Exit and travel west on Camino Pablo. Turn right on Bear Creek Road,
drive for about 1.4 miles and turn left into the trailhead parking
lot.
