Rating: This a moderately strenuous hike of about 6 1/2 miles with about 1000 feet in elevation gain.

Group: Open to all. Reservations required.

Fees: $8 park entrance fee.

Notes: Join us as we hike along a redwood-shaded creek, climb dappled hillsides, and enjoy the view from a ridge top. Optional post-hike wine tasting at a local winery.

Rain Policy: Hike is cancelled in the event of rain.

What to bring: Rugged walking shoes, lunch, snacks, liquids. Dress in layers.

How to get there: From the West Bay: Go north on 101, east on 37 (Vallejo-Napa exit), north on 121, east on 12/121 and northwest on 29 to St. Helena and 5 miles further to the park. From the East Bay go north on 80, west on 37 and northwest on 29: From Highway 29 northbound in St. Helena, go 5 miles from the first St. Helena stoplight (at Pope St.) to the park entrance. After 0.1 mile you reach the entrance kiosk. Pay the fee and continue to the visitor center and park there.
