Rating: This is a moderately strenuous hike of 6 miles with about 1,000 feet in elevation gain.
Group: Open to all. Reservations required.
Fees: $7/vehicle park entrance fee.

Notes: Join us on a foray to discover the natural and human history of Mount Diablo’s south side. We’ll see early season wildflowers, fascinating geological features, and view the route of the 19th century Mount Diablo stagecoach up Pine Canyon.
Rain Policy: Hike is cancelled in the event of rain.
What to bring: Snacks, liquids, lunch, and sturdy shoes. Dress in layers.
How to get there:
To reach the Macedo Ranch Entrance, take the Stone
Valley exit off of 680 in Alamo. Take Stone Valley Road east to Green Valley
Road, turn left onto Green Valley Road and continue to the end of Green Valley
Road to the entrance.
