You should refer to the WebTrends Live Privacy Policy to learn how they collect and use information. You can find WebTrends Live's privacy policy on their website. Names, email addresses, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and other personal information are collected only as a part of explicit registration processes visitors engage in voluntarily, such as signing up to receive our email newsletters.

How the information is used
Anonymous data is used in aggregate to better understand visitor preferences and to enhance our visitors' overall experience on our web site. If you choose to provide us with personal information about yourself, either through a form on our web site or by sending us email, we may collect and use that information to contact you or to send you additional information about Greenbelt Alliance's programs, events, outings, action alerts, and how to support these programs financially. Greenbelt Alliance does not release, sell, barter, or trade email addresses to any third party. Greenbelt Alliance does occasionally allow other non-profit organizations to send information to our members by postal mail; if you are a member and you would prefer that we not share your address, just contact us at the number below. Although we use security that we believe to be appropriate to protect the limited personal identifying information disclosed to us on this web site, we do not guarantee that our security precautions will protect against and we expressly disclaim any liability for any loss, misuse, or alteration of your information.

Donor Privacy Policy

Greenbelt Alliance will not sell, trade, or release credit card or banking information. We will only ask for the personal information that we specifically need to process orders or membership donations. Once information is received, we will make our best effort to ensure its security. In communications with our members, we may send routine information in the future by either email or postal mail, unless you specifically requested that we not do so.

We occasionally trade postal addresses with other like-minded organizations. If you would not like to receive information from these organizations, please write us at the address below, email us or call us at (415) 543-6771 and we will add your name to our "Do Not Trade" list. This option is often included in our membership materials. We do not trade phone numbers or email addresses with other organizations for fundraising purposes.

Through Groundspring.org, our on-line donation service, we make every effort to preserve donor and customer privacy. We may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our organization.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to our home page, this privacy statement, and other places we deem appropriate so our donors and customers are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

Policy effective January 27, 2005.
