AB1268: Smart Growth for California
AB1268 is a groundbreaking bill that promotes smart growth for the entire
state of California. You received our email action alert last weeknow,
find out more about this important proposed legislation.
Improving
East Bay Transit
Transportation and Land Use Coalition Measure C workshops drew over 170
people. But we still need your help to make sure that Contra Costa Transit
officials use Measure C funds to guide smart growth and ensure a variety
of transit options for all.

Alliance Origins Part IV: Spurring the Nation's First Metropolitan Greenbelt
Plan
2003 marks the forty-fifth anniversary of Greenbelt Alliance's
work to protect open space and promote livable communities. This month,
find out how Greenbelt Alliance participated in the nation's first regional
greenbelt plan.

Office News: New Office Manager
Greenbelt Alliance has a new Office Manager. She has wide-ranging experiences,
from sustainable agriculture research in Tanzania to environmental education
with the National Park Service.
