Greenbelt Alliance In the NewsOctober 9, 2008 Candidate forum in Benicia Christina Arrostuto, voter service chairLeague of Women Voters Benicia There will be a Voter Education and Candidates Forum co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters Benicia and the American Association of University Women, Benicia-Vallejo Chapter from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Benicia City Council Chamber, 250 East L St., Benicia. Solano County Department of Resource Management Director Brigitta Corsello will present an overview of the Solano County General Plan and Orderly Growth Initiative, followed by a question-and-answer session on Measure T with Nicole Byrd of Greenbelt Alliance and Joe Martinez of the Solano County Farm Bureau. There also will also be a forum featuring candidates for California State Assembly District 8, Manuel Cosme and Mariko Yamada, and candidates for Solano College Governing Board Area 4, Rosemary Thurston and Tony Ubalde. We invite the public to participate in this important civic event. ### |
