Greenbelt Alliance In the News

August 12, 2009

KPFA Morning Show

Subheading

Byline

Host Aimee Allison talks with Christina Wong of Greenbelt Alliance about the lawsuit against Oakley's proposed development of about 5,000 homes below sea level and the loss of 1,600 acres of farmland.

"The City of Oakley does not need to develop this tract to meet its housing needs. This is not an area that makes sense because it’s far away from a job center and it threatens the water quality for 25 million Californians. We are building in our delta here."
