Press ReleaseApril 9, 2008 Contact: BART Tour of East Bay Cities: “What Makes Cities Work” An East Bay tour of great communities close to BART Last September, the City of San Leandro adopted a plan for the neighborhood around its BART station. This plan provides an opportunity to build new homes, jobs, and shops to create a vibrant, walkable community close to transit. To envision how the plan could transform San Leandro, Greenbelt Alliance and local
partners have organized a BART tour of several other successful and upcoming
developments in Oakland, Hayward, and Union City for San Leandro decision-makers
and members of the community.
