As the Climate & Equity Fellow at Greenbelt Alliance, Berna Idriz advances research in equitable policy solutions to build community resilience while amplifying the role of nature-based solutions in addressing the climate crisis.
Berna is dedicated to progressing all facets of climate justice initiatives in light of the current climate crisis. She believes that the people who are the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change should be put at the center of all environmental work and is passionate about advocating for her community’s needs.
She has multiple campaign cycles under her belt, working in a variety of roles from organizing to outreach and policy. She is an alum of the League of Conservation Voters, the Tom Steyer 2020 campaign, and NextGen America.
Berna is a proud Anteater and holds dual B.A. degrees from UC Irvine in Political Science and International Studies. In her free time, she likes to travel, cook a variety of foods, and learn new languages.
