It’s award season along El Camino Real

The Grand Boulevard Awards are back! A total of 16 projects and plans received awards for exemplifying the Grand Boulevard’s Guiding Principles.

GBI awardsAmong this notable crowd are Mountain View’s 2030 General Plan, the VTA’s El Camino Real Bus Rapid Transit project, and MidPen Housing’s affordable housing development at 636 El Camino Real in South San Francisco. Six of the projects provide desperately needed affordable homes. Mountain View and Palo Alto led the pack with the most award-winning projects. My personal favorite: Palo Alto Housing Corporation’s Tree House Apartments.

These deserving awardees will help create more people-friendly places from Daly City to San Jose along the Grand Boulevard.

Get details on all 16 projects.
