Chance (he/him) brings a passion for social justice and environmental advocacy to his job at Greenbelt Alliance, where he leads efforts to ensure the organization is running smoothly across all departments and internal systems. He has over five years of experience in the nonprofit sector specializing in operations management.
Before starting his current role, Chance most recently worked for the Los Angeles Parks Foundation, a nonprofit helping to raise private funds in support of L.A.’s public parks. He is an alumni of Coro Southern California’s Fellows Program in Public Affairs, and a graduate of Pitzer College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies.
Chance has lived most of life in California, being born and raised in San Diego before heading north to Los Angeles and San Francisco. He spends most of his leisure time traveling, hiking, camping, and exploring the great outdoors – with a particular affinity for national parks! He recently relocated to Toronto, Canada along with his boyfriend and their scruffy rescue dog, Smokey.
