Had your fill of Easter eggs? Then come join us for a spring wildflower hunt on Mount Diablo!

Mitchell Canyon is a Bay Area floral hot spot, and we are sure to find some rare and not-so-rare spring bloomers as we hike. We’ll share stories of early botanical pioneers, explain how the flowers came to be named, and describe Native American uses of local flowering plants. Don’t be surprised if we spot some native (Easter) bunnies along the trail!

Like most of you, we are closely monitoring COVID-19 news and information, and we’re following guidelines from the World Health Organization, CDC, and local government to stay healthy.

Based on that guidance, our small group outdoor hikes will continue this week. However, we ask that participants and leaders follow recommended public health guidelines and social distancing protocols to stay safe. View our protocols here.
