North Bay: West Petaluma Hills Nature Walk

Join Greenbelt Alliance North Bay Field Director Teri Shore and Lydia Schindler from the West Petaluma Hills Coalition for a naturalist-led walk on La Cresta Ridge above Petaluma.

We’ll enjoy views and wildflowers while we learn about the land that the West Petaluma Hills Coalition wants to conserve forever. Please join us for an optional brown bag lunch and walk in downtown Petaluma after the nature walk.

This is an easy hike of two miles, some up and down on uneven ground.

Heavy rain cancels.

Where to Meet:

We’ll assemble at the small parking lot at the end of Hayes Lane.

Drive north on Highway 101 to Petaluma. Take the Highway 116/Lakeville exit and head toward downtown. Turn left on D Street across the railroad tracks and bridge. Continue on D Street, through the historic neighborhood. Turn Right on El Rose. Turn Left on Hayes Lane and drive to the small parking lot.


Leaders Note:
