Mills Dairy Barn History Hike
Take a bucolic trip back to the 19th century in historic Burleigh Murray Ranch State Park. We’ll amble on an old ranch road alongside Mills Creek to the venerable Mills Dairy Barn.
Built during the 1860s in the style of an English lake country bank barn, the Mills Barn is the only building of its architectural style in California.

We’ll assemble in the gravel parking area near the park entrance.
From the junction of CA 1 and CA 92 in San Mateo County, drive south 1.2 miles, then turn east onto Higgins Canyon Road. Drive about 1.5 miles to the park entrance on the left side of the road.
Bring water, snacks, dress in layers, and wear good hiking shoes. There are restrooms near the trailhead along our route. If you have any questions about this outing, contact Ken Lavin at firstname.lastname@example.org or 415-543-6771 x321.
