Tilden’s Grizzly & Vollmer Peak Trails
Join Greenbelt Alliance board member Bob Johnson on a wildflower and nature hike through Tilden Park.
Though Tilden is known for developed features such as Lake Anza, the merry-go-round, the golf course, and Little Farm, the park also has large areas of forests and grasslands with diverse native plants. We’ll explore the wild side of Tilden and enjoy great views from Vollmer and Grizzly Peaks.
Steady rain cancels.
On Grizzly Peak Blvd proceed to the intersection where Centennial Drive comes up through the upper UC Campus and crosses Grizzly Peak to become Golf Course Road. Just 100 yards down from the east side of this intersection (along Golf Course Road) is an unpaved parking area on the right where we will meet. [directions to parking lot trailhead]
