Winter Solstice Wander
Take a break from last-minute shopping to experience the natural sounds, sights, smells, and colors of the season on our annual Winter Solstice hike. (And yes, we know this outing is a couple of days late).
This year, we’ll take a colorful jaunt up White Canyon on Red Road Trail to Black Point in Mount Diablo State Park. Mistletoe, Christmas Berry, and Ghost Pine await us along the trail.

We’ll assemble at the Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center. There are restrooms and a water fountain near our meeting spot.
Bring water, snacks and lunch, dress in layers and wear good hiking shoes. Bring poles if you normally use them. Sections of the trail are steep and rugged. If you have questions about this outing, email Ken Lavin or phone (415) 543-6771 x321.
