As a Resilience Fellow at Greenbelt Alliance, Karen Santos Rosenberg works with our program team on strategic campaigns and research projects to make the Bay Area more resilient.
Karen is a sophomore at Diablo Valley College with plans to transfer to UC Berkeley and obtain a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Economics and Policy. She strives to make her community healthier and safer for all through activism, education, and youth empowerment. Karen understands that youth will play a pivotal role in our future, specifically as it pertains to the environment, and hopes to ensure they are provided the tools to make positive change.
Along with being a Resilience Fellow at Greenbelt Alliance, Karen serves on Sustainable Contra Costa’s Board of Directors. Her interests include environmental justice, renewable energy, and environmental data analysis. In her free time, Karen enjoys going on hikes with her dog Comet, trying new foods, and baking!
