Blanca brings a passion for environmental justice and equity as well as working directly with communities to address climate threats. From a small town in Tulare County, CA, she understands the unique challenges small communities face due to underinvestment but also how essential the community is in order to solve these challenges. In her previous role, Blanca worked in the San Joaquin Valley working on a myriad of environmental justice issues with mostly unincorporated communities on drinking water and wastewater access, land-use planning, and access to green spaces.
Blanca received her B.S. in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning and B.A. in International Relations from UC Davis. In her free time, she loves digging into books on the decolonization of the Americas, trying new restaurants, and learning new forms of art.
