Kieffer Katz first fell in love with the Bay Area as a 17-year-old high school graduate, living in a VW bus in the Outer Sunset. More than a decade later, he’s devoting his skills in branding, marketing, and copywriting to safeguard the region’s well being as Greenbelt Alliance’s Marketing Associate.
In the intervening years, Kieffer attended Colorado College, where he earned a B.A. with a double major in philosophy and poetry writing. After four years in NYC, where he worked, in no particular order, as a brand strategist focusing on startups, an upscale catering waiter, a market researcher working with Fortune 500 brands, and a production assistant for high-end fashion shoots, he’s returned to California, and could not be happier about it. When he’s not trying to distill the pure essence of the Bay Area into pithy and persuasive prose, you can find him in Pacifica where, with his wife and two extremely adequate cats, he contemplates the ocean and whether it’s socially acceptable to start surfing in your 30s.
