After an early career in city and regional planning, Michele Stratton practiced law for 30 years, advising clients on business, trusts, and property matters. She has been a Greenbelt Board member since 2002, serving as Vice President, Development from 2008 through 2010, and is currently a member of the Audit Committee.
Michele is currently on the board of Sequoia Living (formerly NCPHS), serving as Vice-Chair and Chair of its Finance Committee. Sequoia Living is a non-profit company that provides housing and supportive services to seniors throughout the Bay Area in its three continuing care retirement communities, at housing venues for low-income seniors and at San Francisco’s Senior Centers. For many years, Michele served as Vice-President-Treasurer of the YWCA of San Francisco & Marin and President of its low-income senior housing affiliate.
Michele lives in San Francisco and spends many weekends in northern Sonoma County. She is a graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe, M.I.T. (Urban Planning) and the University of California-Berkeley (Law).
