In general, the undesirable appearance or aesthetic quality of a site, including vandalism, disrepair, or abandonment, leading to a reduction in the development and investment in the surrounding area. Where community redevelopment laws require that an area is declared ‘blighted’ to receive redevelopment funds, these laws contain specific language to define blight.
