This November, voters have a chance to repeal an existing ordinance in San Mateo— enacted by voters since 1991—that limits height and density of new buildings by voting YES on Measure T.
The challenge: The Bay Area’s soaring housing costs have led to a devastating increase in housing insecurity that ultimately exposes vulnerable populations to the harsh impacts of climate change.
The solution: Greenbelt Alliance is activating environmentalists as advocates for housing as a climate solution while mobilizing housing actors to advocate for new homes in the right places.
