Conditional Use Permit

A permit that authorizes usages not consistent with the zoning ordinance on a defined site. A public hearing is required in order to obtain a Condition Use Permit (CUP), approval is usually contigent on fulfillment of certain conditions by the developer. Approval of a CUP doesn’t represent a change in zoning.
