Deja (she/her)’s interest in environmentalism was sparked while growing up surrounded by the beauty of Northern California. She is especially interested in philanthropy’s powerful role in shaping a better climate future. At Greenbelt Alliance, she supports fundraising efforts by facilitating donor communications, coordinating special events, and managing all gift processing.
Deja is passionate about environmental justice and supporting community-based efforts to fuel our transition to a more sustainable, equitable world. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and an outside concentration in Professional Writing. Prior to joining the Greenbelt Alliance team, she worked for the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District as the Outreach Intern, tackling a wide variety of community outreach and data analysis projects.
In her free time, Deja enjoys exploring new restaurants, gardening, and spending time with her family.
