$24.5 million deal saves Sonoma forest

Greenbelt Alliance applauds the efforts our friends in Sonoma County for their hard work in securing the preservation of appropriately-named Preservation Ranch.

This pristine corner of Sonoma County will remain an ecological gem thanks to the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District, Sonoma Land Trust, California Coastal Conservancy and Conservation Fund.

We are grateful for the hard work of local advocate group, Friends of the Gualala River, who brought national attention to these critical natural lands. Sonoma residents and visitors will now be able to continue enjoying Sonoma’s beautiful coastal redwood forest.
