Betsy Pfeiffer

Meet Betsy

As a UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy (GSPP) Fellow, Betsy is doing her capstone project with Greenbelt Alliance to develop a Green Abundance narrative. This narrative will tie together and strengthen our work on expanding environmental protections and infill development.

Betsy (she/her) has been a Bay Area resident on and off since 2008, supporting written and visual storytelling for cleantech research and development. She has traveled to Norway, Hawaii, Oregon, and throughout California to film and photograph experimental energy installations and tests. Betsy grew up in Southern California and studied English and philosophy at Carleton College in Minnesota. At Berkeley, her policy focus is climate, energy, and conservation. In her free time, she loves rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and traveling in a Ford Econoline van that she built out.
