As the East Bay Resilience Manager, Cailin Notch (she/her) leads Greenbelt Alliance’s programmatic work in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Cailin has a background in city planning and climate resilience, and her work history spans the public, private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining Greenbelt Alliance, Cailin was a community resilience planner with WRA Environmental Consultants. She also has extensive experience around wildfire prevention and preparedness as a CivicSpark Americorps Fellow for Fire Safe Sonoma and the Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District in Sonoma County. Previously, she was also a city planner staffed at the City of Petaluma’s Planning Division.
Born in the East Bay and raised in Southern Oregon, Cailin has roots in both states. Outside of work, she is a passionate sustainable transportation advocate and sits on the board of Bike East Bay. She also enjoys singing in her gospel choir, exploring new places near and far, and hiking and biking in the East Bay hills. She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
