Frances McMillan’s passion for sustainability began with a background in regenerative farming. From working as a fieldworker on a 40 acre farm to managing a community garden, Frances experienced the benefits of local food systems and the power of developing a relationship with the land. The grit, commitment, and sacrifice of farmers made Frances realize that the stories of the unsung heroes are the most important.
Most recently, Frances worked as a Communications Associate for the Cornell Initiative for Research on Climate and Aging, where she had the chance to use her storytelling skills to connect with environmental activists aged 65+ and share their achievements as a source of inspiration for others. She is dedicated to demystifying climate topics and advocating for the preservation of our natural environment through community engagement, film, writing, and graphic design.
Frances is a new San Francisco resident and can’t wait to explore all the city has to offer.
