Santa Clara Valley Habitat Conservation Plan Adopted

After almost a decade’s worth of hard work by local environmental advocates including Greenbelt Alliance, the Santa Clara Valley Habitat Conservation Plan has finally been adopted. On Tuesday night, January 29, the San Jose City Council approved the plan by a 10-1 vote!

Nuestro Futuro: Building a stronger Silicon Valley

On Friday, January 25, the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley hosted Nuestro Futuro—a community event to follow up their Silicon Valley Latino Report Card, which assessed quality of life issues within the Latino community. Three hundred people came to listen, learn, and share their ideas about education, health, financial stability, housing, and environmental sustainability.

Who’s the weirdest of them all?

What U.S. metropolitan area do you think is the “weirdest”? Has the most well-traveled residents? Or has the most creative professionals? According to CEOs for Cities signature study, City Vitals 2.0, that would be the Bay Area’s very own Silicon Valley, a cluster of cities at the heart of the tech world that includes San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara.
