Great Communities Collaborative wins award!

The American Planning Association’s Northern California Section selected the Great Communities Collaborative as the winner of the 2010 Outstanding Planning: Education Project award! Greenbelt Alliance, TransForm, and the San Francisco Foundation are the founding partners of the Great Communities Collaborative, which supports planning work around the region.

Having won the northern section 2010 award, the Great Communities Collaborative is now eligible to apply for the same recognition from the statewide chapter.

Many thanks to all the Great Communities Collaborative members who made this award possible, especially Greenbelt Alliance field representatives Amanda Bornstein and Michele Beasley, who solicited letters of support for the award application.

The  award will be presented at the Northern Section APA 2010 Awards Celebration on May 14 at the Sir Francis Drake hotel in San Francisco.
