Update: Measure D Passed in the November 2017 Election!

The people of Novato voted overwhelmingly to pass Measure D—protecting open space and halting sprawl in Novato for another 25 years. Only a simple majority vote of 51% was needed, but Measure D passed by nearly 73% to renew the existing urban growth boundary (UGB).

Together, Greenbelt Alliance, Marin Conservation League, and the Sierra Club worked closely with the Novato City Council and staff to ensure that the voters would support the renewal of the growth boundary.

We will continue this partnership as we move forward with the General Plan in Novato and work to align county policies with city UGB.

You can stay informed on our work in the area by liking the Yes on D Facebook page!
