The City wants to expand its urban footprint into the Southeast Quadrant, an area made up of 1,400 acres of working farms and greenbelt lands east of Highway 101. Here is our map for an alternative vision for Morgan Hill.
With the City’s recent plans to develop hundreds of acres of greenbelt farms in the area known as the Southeast Quadrant, the future of agriculture in Morgan Hill is under threat.
On the rural side of San Jose lies Young Ranch—2,150 acres of rolling hillsides, serpentine grasslands, and Bay Checkerspot butterfly habitat. It is also the scene of one of the larger hillside development battles in recent Santa Clara County history.
The Mountain View City Council meeting on May 20 will be the public’s last chance to give feedback on the direction of the El Camino Real Precise Plan. Come out and show your support for a vibrant El Camino Real!
